What is Yoga?

Founded in India thousands of years ago, Yoga is the practice of calming the chatter of the mind. The word “yoga” is derived from the Sanskrit word for “union.” In yoga we unite the body with the mind, focus on our breath, and find connection with others.  Yoga includes eight limbs some of which are breath exercises, physical poses, concentration practices and meditation techniques. 

What is Kids Yoga?

Kid's yoga is the practice of yoga presented in a fun and developmentally appropriate way for children. A typical kid's yoga class includes music, games, props and visual tools to peak children's interest and invite them to learn yoga poses and principles.
